And a Sears Milton in Stanley, Virginia
This weekend, the hubby and I traveled to Stanley, Virginia (in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley) and saw this gorgeous Sears Milton. It’s one of Sears finest homes, and other than this Milton in the Virginia mountains, I’ve never ever seen another Milton - anywhere or anytime.
It’s a real beauty. And the good news is, it’s a Bed and Breakfast. Hopefully this summer I’ll have a chance to travel back to Stanley and spend a night or two inside the Sears Milton on West Main Street.

Rosemary — here’s a lovely, pristine example of a Sears home (Ivanhoe or Magnolia, perhaps?) in Bexley, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. Built in 1915. There is another one (definitely a Magnolia) two doors down, and both were built for the parsonage of the Bexley United Methodist Church. I’d love to know exactly what model this is — can’t seem to find the exact elevation that matches in anything I’ve found on the web. I’ll be picking your book up ASAP on amazon!

Actually, Dave that house is NOT a Sears Home. There are many houses that LOOK like Magnolias, but this was a very, very rare house. Only six known in the country. A couple times a week I get emails from people swearing up and down that they have a Magnolia in their neighborhood. 99.9% of the time, they’re incorrect.
